Exercise with Diet are Still the Best

I miss the days when we do frequent walking and jogging and running at UP oval.  Those times you do not need to speed up the process of slimming down by pills.  I do not need to resort to diet pill reviews to know what would be best for my diet to loose weight.  Now, I am beginning to be tempted.

Paid Reviews, what d'ya think?

I saw LinkFromBlog in one of the blogs I visit.  It is about paid reviews.  It looks like it is an interesting opportunity for anyone.  There will be offers and tasks but you have to bid.   If the advertise approves of your bid, you get the chance.  If not, then your blog did not appeal to be interesting.  Sounds like a realization check.

Anyway, let us see how this works.

Pajamas for this hot season? No way.

There is a site called Womens Pajamas.com that offers not only pajamas but also night gowns.  Who would be thinking about buying women's pajamas in this dry and humid season in the Philippines with 38 degrees C temperature?  Even with pajamas that look as good as this, no one will think of it:

Unclogging the List

It pains me to x-out some bloggers in my list.  Their blogs had once been my haven when I need to take a breather.  But taking a hint from a fellow blogger, I think it is best to unclog the list. Some of them had totally stopped blogging and had been inactive for some time.  Some of the blogs are already inaccessible, not a trace of the old posts and updates about the blogger.

The impression I had about them will never change.  I listed them because I find them interesting.

Why Lee Dewyze won

It's the pair of eyes.

Test preparations

I remembered when my children were in their secondary years, I enrolled them in a review center in preparation for high school. I wanted them to be enrolled in the best science schools. I was reminded of these reading about lsat prep. Of course, the preparations for a high school or a college entrance examination is nothing in comparison to lsat.

Gel is Not Only for the Hair

Lately, son Daryl's face, especially on the nose part, was riddled with pimples.  They are not acne yet but I hope that he would not resort to using acne treatment gel in the future.   I think this happened because of the combination of dust and heat.

And true, gel is not only for the hair.  There are already many products in gel types and that includes lubricants, toothpaste, and facial treatments among others.

Personally, I do not like gels.  It's the sticky characteristic that gives it the yucky feel.

Quick Weight Loss

I am a regularly built woman.  I am not as fat as obese.  I am not as thin as skinny.  But how I look at present is very different when I only had a 23 inch waist line.  I even buy my clothes from the teens section of the department store.  I used to despise my thin structure.  My friends even told me that if the wind gave a nasty blow, I'll fall or be flown with it.

The thought that one day I will have a 30 inch waist line that even grows to 31 inches when I am very full (though I seldom get full these days) did not cross my mind.  I did not even think that I would someday ponder on seeking ways to quick weight loss.

Buy and Sell with AyosDito

AyosDito.ph is a buy and sell marketplace center in the web which is designed for Pinoys by Pinoys.  The page is user friendly where you can click on the province or area where you are located and find buyers and sellers that are near you.  Isn't it a plus?  How innovative!

Falling Out of Love

We had heard many stories about partners who had separated.  During courtship, men and women alike believe that it is a dream come true finding their ideal woman or man.

But when they live under one roof, this is where each other's differences surface.

Birth Announcements are Good News

There is always this nice feeling when birth announcements are made.  News that someone dear or close gave birth to a son or a daughter (it doesn't matter actually if it is a son or a daughter).

Babies are bundles of joy, I had always harped on the same string.  Because it is true.  There is this extraordinary feeling of happiness just seeing these little bundles smile at you, or just stare at you.  The little sounds they make is like music to the ears.  Their first steps or crawls are achievements.

Birth announcements are not only good news but a message of hope.

Photohunt: Half

A pose in the pool with my better HALF.

Whew! It's been a while since I participated for Photohunt.  Well, there are lots of activities. I was not able to find time for photo hunting.

Today's theme is HALF.  Enjoy photo hunting!

Will She Flirt When She's 65?

There are women who are given to flirting, or in short, flirters.  There are serious flirters and there are those who do the act like fun.  What is the difference?  Serious flirters are those who make advances to, or make eyes at, some guy.  They tease, or make a pass, or toy with a guy.

Those who are not serious flirters only flirt with the idea and will not or could not actually do the act.  They are doing it for fun.  Some silly young girls or women even scream about thinking of doing it, or laugh at experiences when men are enticed.

Remembering Nieva

I was in second year high school then. Fernieva, or Nieva, is what I remember to be her nickname, was a classmate.  The class had a field trip somewhere I could not remember.

While those who know how to swim frolic in the swimming pool, I was sitting by the edge watching them.  Aside from being a recluse, I was also very afraid because I do not know how to swim.  A close (?) friend kidded around and pushed me to the pool.  I panicked.   I was gasping for air, kicking and grabbing anyone I can grab.  It was Nieva who pulled me out of that frenzy.  Only to discover that I can stand on the water without drowning.

Gates for the Kids' Safety

These two baby brothers are growing fast.  Baby Drew in the first picture, at two, restlessly moves all the time.  Baby Drake in the second picture is as hyper as his brother.  Now that he is beginning to crawl fast, his mother had put a baby gate across the door to the main door.  He is a brave little boy, very adventurous and likes very much to try new things.

Disappointing Election for First Timers

We were up very early this morning for the elections.  We thought that people will cram the precincts later so it's better to be there early.   Also, this marks the day of change. And after all this is not a queue for free ipods but a national event.

When we reach the voting area, there were lots of eager voters spread all over the place.  Drenched in their own perspiration, people looked confused, impatient, angry, disappointed; all a picture of an apparently chaotic procedure. AGAIN?  Yes, again.

At 45

No wedding invitations to be given out, no birthday invites either.  “But it is your birthday,” you will argue.  “How come there is no celebration?  You are kidding me.”

There is celebration, my friend.  Actually, everyday I celebrate life. Who would not if it is the highest form of gift given to me (and to everybody who had lived, and are still living)?  Should I not be thankful that I was given this opportunity?  “But yours is not a perfect life, it’s even akin to lacking in many things.  You are not even living a sufficient life.”

Morbid thoughts 5 days before elections

I couldn't help it.   Morbid thoughts come rushing to my head replete with the many burdens life has to offer.  I think these scary thoughts were triggered by a Facebook friend/contact's note:
"So here's the scenario, the configuration issue of those flash cards is a ploy. The issue was that it cannot count the local votes, the "reconfigurated" flash cards will now be able to read votes of the local candidates.

But these new flash cards will have pre-programmed results when it comes to the national level. And ...as the marching orders were stated, the results would be in orange."

Shop Wiki for Gab - I recommend!

[caption id="attachment_1595" align="aligncenter" width="286" caption="baby gab"][/caption]

Look at this handsome little young man with his tie on. It blended very well with his white polo and his cute face.  His name is Gab.  He's niece Roma's son, and nephew to Grace and Ana. He is a pampered little boy that is why I recommend Shopwiki for his needs.

Missing Blog Friends

The beauty about blogging is the exchange of thoughts and the appreciation a blogger gets from a piece of writing.  It inspires when people visits your blog not because of reciprocation or the need to repay you a visit, or because you have a promo in your blog (not that I have anything against it), or because you are a personal friend; but because your creation, your piece of writing, are worth their time.  It is not actually being articulate or eloquent.  It is the interest that was sparked reading your blog posts.  It is the relevance.  It is the substance.  It does not even matter how long or short the post is.  Or how silly it seems to be.

Concurrently, I am missing my old blog friends.

Bachelor of Arts in Fire Service Administration

Now this is a sequel to my thoughts written in the previous posts.  As I pointed out that every field of education is of importance and not one is neither great nor inferior than another, there is one interesting course that our local firemen in the Philippines will be needing -  Bachelor of arts in fire service. Only that it is not available for non US applicants.

Graduation Thoughts - My work is done?

Last April 24, 2010, daughter Kay graduated with a degree in BFA - Visual Communication. She graduated with honors and recognition. I know that some arrogant beings would interject, "What is so difficult being an art student? Who would not graduate with honors?" implying that taking a course like this is a piece of cake. Now that sounds condescending, doesn't it? But believe me, there are people who think this way. My daughter had had a couple of experiences with these kinds of people who think that their chosen field of education is way better than other fields.
