The above photo is son Daryl's friend Angela aka Gelay trying to do a consequence required by a game.  This was taken during Christmas season.

This is my contribution to today's Photohunt challenge.  You can also visit the Technorati page.

Happy photo hunting everyone!

Will a caffeine-filled pill do?

[caption id="attachment_2427" align="aligncenter" width="240" caption="pill tablets"][/caption]

The pill phenphedrine has a significant amount of caffeine.  If caffeine has adverse effects on you, then take precaution.

Geez, so many forms of weight loss tablets and pills available and each claim to be effective.  What would you choose, diet suppressants, fat burners, or caffeine-filled ones?  :-D

Or Burn Fat

[caption id="attachment_2422" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="burn fat"][/caption]

If you cannot totally suppress the urge, then burn the fat.  Just like appetite suppressant, the best fat burners are also effective in the treatment of weight gain, or in aiding weight loss programs.

Suppress the Urge

[caption id="attachment_2419" align="aligncenter" width="197" caption="obesity"][/caption]

Diet pills appetite suppressants can help treat obesity.  But still an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.  The little girl above may appear to be cute because she looks cuddly.  I don't know why bulges only look adorable or pleasant on little children, but it really appears to be that way.  A grown up obese girl or boy definitely is not good to look at.

If you need a receipt printer

The popular brands for a receipt printer are Epson, Star, Zebra, Ithaca, or Intermec.  The print methods include impact, thermal and inkjet.

A receipt printer is also categorized according to interface options (you can have it USB or bluetooth and many more), paper dimensions as wide as 3.15" or 80mm, column capacity (if you need a 56 column, it is available), print speed (like 6 lines per second), color (black, dark gray, gray, etc.), and other features like the auto-cutter.

Moved to Tears

Photo from here.

An American Idol contestant moved us to tears. Above is a picture of Chris, and Juliana with a perfect face that does not need even an acne scar removal. Their story touched Steven Tyler.

Chris Medina, the 27- year-old contestant, has a very moving story.  The pretty fiancee he was about to marry, Juliana Ramos, met a terrible accident where her car was struck and caused her to be paralyzed and obtain severe brain damage.  It was a very sad story.  And I can relate.

What kind of a man would leave the woman he's about to marry who has a devastating situation and condition at present?  That is what he believed in and I salute him.

Always Check the Batteries

Of course you would not want an important conversation be cut in the middle just because the telephone battery ran out.

Today, there are already telephone batteries replacements that are available even in Amazon.  It is important to remember to always buy those with the best manufacturer specs and not the refurbished.

Quality should always be the primary factor in buying electronic gadgets and devices.  It pays.  It would be a waste to buy cheaper ones with poor quality.  Of course, you already know that.

Is it the wireless router?

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="296" caption="Linksys wireless router"][/caption]

The past few days I noticed that internet connection was slow.  I can even fill a glass of water before the browser had completed.  The first time the connection was upgraded, everything seemed okay. I am considering now to follow up and marvel if they will blame it on the wireless router again?

The Little Boy

I saw that young boy of about six or seven again.  He climbed the tricycle with his grandpa.  He was made to sit on an improvised little seat inside the tricycle.

He looked at me again with that same look he had when we first met.  But this time there were mixed emotions as he stared at my face.  As he stared, I stared back.  I did not really stare in a rude manner. I tried to paint a smile on my face.   I watched him intently, how his brows met each other, and how he pouted his lips.  He looked at me straight in the eye as if to challenge me with the game ‘who’s going to last staring’.

Missed the chance

One time I applied in a manufacturing company that builds steel buildings.  I was not accepted.  I failed to prove that I can do EMS monitoring.  I missed the chance.  But it was interesting to know that there are already buildings here in the Philippines that are being built with this system of steel.

Against the Rain's Pitter-Patter

As I race against the rain’s pitter-patter on my way home one evening, my mind was also raising against many concerns. I have to do this, I have to finish that, I have to prepare this, I have to complete that, etc. etc.

The list goes on and on. The list does not seem to have an end. Maybe that is why I get lonesome when it rains. They remind me of things that still have to be finished or completed. They remind me of work to be done. They remind me of my limitations, my lack, or my incapability.

The rain’s pitter-patter reminds me of the not so good. They make me think of the worst, of fear, of want, of loneliness, of desertion, of reject, and of neglect.

Funny, they also remind me of some folks, or of some intimates; those that had made me wounded, or indignant; those that made the heart throb; or those that had stung then left unforgettable scars.

Pitter-patter, pitter-patter, falling softly…

Photohunt: Hands

[caption id="attachment_2393" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="a huge pizza for Kay's birthday"][/caption]

Kay chose to celebrate her 21st birthday on a Saturday.  Her birthday falls on the 24th.

And this is the reason why I am only posting my photo for Photohunt only today.

How's your photo hunting?

Credit Card Dilemma

Suddenly you cannot pay anymore on time.  The resources had depleted, or exhausted.  After years of finding ways to pay on time, you find yourself already in a dilemma.  You do not have any options left.

After patiently working and finding ways to solve the predicament, you will finally put an end to all that were due.  But after that are you still going to apply for a credit card?  After all, the freeze period will be out for some time and you will have that opportunity again.  Will you do it?

It all boils down to one thing.  Discipline.   Discipline sounds appealing to the ear.  But it is not that easy to practice.  It takes a lot of patience to maintain.  Truly 'high-maintenance'.

Kim Tak Goo

Do you know what keeps me from doing my regular writing?  Do you know what keeps me from sleeping early?

It's him.

[caption id="attachment_2378" align="aligncenter" width="350" caption="Kim Tak Goo"][/caption]

It's Kim Tak Goo all right!  That baker from the Koren novela "The Baker King".  The time I watched with son Daryl, I never seem to want to stop.  Kim Tak Goo inspires me.  Corny, you may say, but I don't care.  :-D he he

Taboo Topics for Men

If you come across testosteronecreams.org, you will read how testosterone acts as hormone replacement therapy.  And what does it treat?  They are those that are taboo topics for men namely:  impotence, hair loss, and decreased sex drive.

Why do men dread these topics?  Not many are willing to discuss them openly because they feel it is a minus on their person, because it reduces them to a certain level, and because they fear the worst.  What a paradox it can be for some.

Slim Wrap, Sounds Nice?

It is the word ‘slim’ in fact that will trigger anybody’s interest.  The next question will be what is a slimming body wrap?  It is interesting to note that slimming body wrap reviews, when you surf the internet, will tell you that it does not only promote weight loss but it also reduces cellulite, it improves blood circulation, and it relieves pain and muscle stiffness.

[caption id="attachment_2367" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="slim wrap"][/caption]

Wrinkle, wrinkle, go away!

Usually, women are more conscious than men about wrinkles.  Only a few are contented about their looks, with or without the wrinkles.  Whatever persuasion there is available for anyone to muse, still there are many who would resort to a cure.  A dermapril review that says your wrinkle will be made less evident in a few days will surely attract attention.

Do you know what medical scrubs are?

Okay, you can laugh at me.

I thought medical scrubs are accessories that are aid in cleaning hospital rooms. I know I sound ignorant.  But it is fun to learn.

Medical scrubs are attires worn by medical professionals.  They can be worn by non-medical personnel, too.  They are tailored in different styles like a v-neck, a wrap around, or a boot cut.  Actually, anyone can buy scrubs online and look for styles that best fit one's taste.  There are designer ones even.

Are you people-oriented?

If your answer is yes, then you are ready for customer service jobs.

A customer service job requires an applicant that has the potential to patiently answer a customer's question, or provide purchase, for example. It may sound easy but it's definitely not.  One has to give his exceptional service with exceptional output.  It requires patience, tact, intelligence, and drive.

Photohunt: Shadow

[caption id="attachment_2343" align="aligncenter" width="280" caption="daughter Kay"][/caption]

I'm back!  Yes, I am back photohunting.

Above is a photo borrowed from my daughter's friend who took the shot at noon.  Have you noticed that almost unseen shadow?  Wonder how they made the  shot when the sun is up very hot.

Check photohunters here and here.

They have a generator

Generators are very important in a manufacturing firm most especially.  Even if is not a honda generator, to have one that could supply electricity when electricity supply is dead will aid in the continuity of work flow.

Funny how employees and workers alike wish for the electricity supply not to be up soon.

I Read People's Faces

I do not exactly know how.  But I try to.

It's the genuine smile that one wears as I talk to one, for example, and it warms the heart.  But there is a smile that has a hidden meaning to it.  It just doesn't feel right.  There is something behind it.

When people look you in the eye, you also feel that authentic sympathy over something you vent about, or is happy about.  There is that look, however, of doubt, or derision, or animosity.

Planning for your health

Today, there are so many concerns that planning for one's health is mostly set aside. It is a sad fact but true, most people, especially those living in a third world country, will never prioritize a health plan.

In first world countries, in the US for example, the NC health insurance even have a dental health plan for an individual or for families.

Thinking about injury lawyers

We do not know when accidents will happen.  Although they can be avoided by being careful and taking the necessary precautions, accidents do happen.  If only everybody could afford an injury lawyer then it would not be a problem thinking about the costs incurred in an accident.  But the services  injury lawyers are best chosen when there are accidents during performance of work.

Some maritime injuries include back injuries, spinal damage, or amputation, to name a few.  Medical injuries, on the other hand, include those that inflict fibrosis, for example.  Industrial injuries include neck, eye, head, or crushing injuries, to name a few.

These injuries have causes.  Without the help of injury lawyers, it would be hard to fight for compensation.  It is a sad fact that not every worker or employee can afford to have one.

We watched Easy A

[caption id="attachment_2325" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Emma Stone"][/caption]

Last night, we watched Easy A.  I am just so lazy now to tell you the story, so here is a recap from the website:
In this charming, critically acclaimed tale of rumors and reputation, Olive (Emma Stone), an average high school student, sees her below-the-radar existence turn around overnight once she decides to use the school's gossip grapevine to advance her social standing. Now her classmates (Amanda Bynes, Aly Michalka) are turning against her and the school board is becoming concerned, including her favorite teacher (Thomas Haden Church) and the distracted Guidance Counselor (Lisa Kudrow). With the support of her hilariously idiosyncratic parents (Stanley Tucci, Patricia Clarkson) and a little help from a long time crush (Penn Badgley), Olive attempts to take on her notorious new identity and crush the rumor mill once and for all.

Yes, the comedy movie is about how dangerous gossips can be.  Although the main character seems not bothered at all by the hideous schemes of her holier-than-thou schoolmates portrayed by Amanda Bynes and Aly Michalka, it did not cross her mind that the rumors will one day reach a height that will sway her demeanor.

As said, never underestimate the power of envy and jealousy.   It will always be applicable in this survival.

But I enjoyed the movie.  How cool are the parents of Olive Penderghast.  Wonder if parents can be as cool as that.  It made me ask myself if I can be like that - cool and quirky.

Try watching the movie.  Emma Stone is one good actress.

Will you buy gold online?

I have heard that some people want to buy gold online.  They must be very rich.  Who would not think of them as one when a bigger part of the world's populace scamper for food aid and donations?

Gold and silver connections are bought and sold as coins, bars and bullions.  Most of these pieces are for collectors, and are destined to be collector's items.

The internet is truly the fast way to search for the best buy of gold.  It is as easy as one click.  But it would scare me to deal with these transactions online.  I would have to complete a deal personally.  But that is after I win the lotto.

A Fetus Among the Garbage

It was news on tv last night.  A seven month fetus was discovered among the garbage piled in a place near where we live.  It was found by a man who piles his garbage in that area to be fetched by the local garbage truck.  Allegedly, two women were seen.

We can definitely say it is a Godless thing because it is.  There is actually a story behind.  We can judge outright and say that whoever did it is of pure evil blood.  But...

I truly wonder what it takes for someone to throw a fetus, or to explore the whole scenario, subject one's self to abortion which means killing a life that is bound to be out in a few months.  It's cold murder.  Even if the mother (if she's worth to be named as one) serves only as accomplice for not actually doing the killing.

Someone out there suffers because she's unbearing.  Someone wanted a child of her own and for some odd reason, her system could not just perfect the process of supporting the growth of a fetus.

Then someone out there who is healthy tries to kill or kills the life inside her in cold blood.

There is a story, yes, but one that is not justifiable.  There is a story that is not worth my understanding and sympathy.

Crossing My Fingers on Exercising

It's almost a week that we (son and I) are on the exercise routine.  I am crossing my fingers that we can last until the 21st day.  Son said it takes twenty-one days to develop a habit.

Then came apidexin reviews.  New to the ears.  Apidexin is one of those diet pills available in the net.  The reviews say it is effective.  They say it's the best fat burner.  One of those lines marketers of such products have to say most of the time. :-D

If you are interested check out first what the following ingredients are and what it can do to the body.  These are apidexin's ingredients:

  • Fucoxanthin

  • Razberri-K

  • Guggul EZ 100

  • Thermodiamine

  • Forslean

  • Lipolide SC

  • Infinergy DiCaffeine Malate

  • Bioperine

My Dream Bathroom's Wall

I want my dream bathroom's wall with glass mosaic tiles.  I want designs that are not common.  Being one that loves uniqueness in everything where my passion is, I want something out of the ordinary.

Red is hot;  red is not.   Most people choose the safer colors for the bathroom especially those with hues green or blue.  But I find a red bathroom unique and interesting.  Don't you think so?

Karaoke Again!!??

There was a celebration the other day  in the neighborhood that included karaoke singing again.  I said to myself, "Karaoke again!!??"

Filipinos are very fond of karaoke singing.  Is that the reason for the brand "happy people"? Not a problem at all because everybody has a right to express but everybody has a right for a good night sleep, too.   These people seem to think that their voices are from the heavens that bring people to wonderful sleep.

Save the Date

One of those things we need to pay particular attention is the invitations we receive from day one of each year.  Hubby and I usually attend to occasions and as much as possible we do not turn down invitations.

Party hosts can use save the date cards to let the guests plan for the occasion and not just fit it in.  This will make them be prepared, too, and focus is set to the said occasion.

Christmas's for the children, what about New Year?

Though the celebration of Christmas is for everybody, I personally feel that it is a day for the children.  It is a feeling of joy that has no equivalent.  If we adults feel the thrill of receiving gifts, the more it is for the little children.

I had witnessed first hand the joy that my two children showed and expressed when they were young. It is so precious to see them filled with happiness.  It really does not matter what price we intend for the gifts.  The children wanted gifts that will be unwrapped by their own little hands and be thrilled while they were doing the process.
