I am actually not a lover of gambling though I know the basics. Teach me and I can even beat you. I do not have difficulty learning this feat, if you can call it that. I am not an enthusiast but I know how to play mah jong, pusoy, pusoy 2, tong-its, to name a few. It (the addiction) just didn’t get into my system.Thank God. :-)
Because I believe in my self-assessment when it comes to learning without that much difficulty, I know that online casino games will not be hard to learn at all. I find it amusing that this particular site even offers online gambling tips. To wrap it up, here they are:
- Do not simply jump in and play at every casino you like the look of.
- Do not take the bait of just simply depositing hiuge amounts of money. Use their demo games and welcome bonus to get the most out of your time.
- Learn when to stop, win or loose, and take a breather.
- Learn when you're beat.
- Start on low bet games only.
- Play only online games that you know very well.
Here is my own version of gambling tips:
- Accord only enough money when you play. This means only bring with you money that you can afford to loose.
- Pee when you feel like. Eat when you feel like. This will help you assess if you are still willing to go and bet, and think if you can afford to loose much.
- Think of your wife, your kids, and the family expenses. That will help you draw the line.
- Think about that new sneakers, or watch, or game accessory, or state-of-the-art accouterments, you have been meaning to buy one day.
- And last but not the least, think about tomorrow and how you will start a day without a penny in your pocket.

I think the only time I gambled was on a corporate party I once attended. After dinner, they gave us play money to gamble in 'casino' style. The objective is to win as much money that you could use later to bid for the prizes. It was easy to gamble then because the odds are in your favour (and only play money). Otherwise, I don't think I'd ever consider gambling in a casino. But get this - I buy Lotto occasionally and the odds of winning in this is second to none :-) Oh well, my home has been hit by lightning once - who knows what would hit me next :-)

ReplyDeleteI used to gamble perniciously when i was in highschool. It was very addicting especially when I'm winning. But I have overgrown it that now I haven't gambled in almost a decade. How i wish i could do away with my smoking just as easily.
ReplyDeleteMan, gambling is a scourge of society :( So many people's lives have been shattered by gambling. Casinos are really unfair. They have the right to throw you out if you are winning like crazy :(
ReplyDeleteThe hit and run tactic is the best I think. The moment you win something you think would make your day, stop playing and come back some other day. You may find that you will put the money to good use and not have anything to gamble the next day hehe :)
If more people followed your advice we'd have less opionions like one from CSM (Webpage link for my name) that argues that online gaming should be banned because a few can't help themselves.
ReplyDeletei agree it is addictive, major tom. the first time i tried mah jong, i was able to play until 12 midnight almost forgetting that little Kay will be needing me a few hours after. on the second day, i was able to convince myself that i better stop or my little girl will not be given the right amount of love and care.

hi, poker player. banning is not the cure to such a scourge in a society. a change of heart can alter everything. a Christian or a believer in God's ways and statutes, for example, do not require bans or restrictions to avoid gambling. my tips are the lighter versions, and a nip in the bud.
there are a lot of ways para madugasan ang mga online gambling companies na yan... i should know, i used to work for one, hehehe!
