In the Absence of a Straightening Iron

Let me tell you about a queer story.  This is not fiction.  This is a true story.

One time, I asked for a straightening iron from the office mates.  One of them let me borrow.  One office mate suddenly related her story.

That other office mate said that one time her daughter was invited to be one of the bridesmaids in a wedding.  There was no straightening iron available.  So what she did was tell her daughter to lay on the bed.  She let her daughter's hair on top of a folded bed sheet and ironed the hair strands using a hot flat iron!  :o

Of course I was shocked! Would you not?  I was actually thinking about morbidity.
