My Daryl made an update. My Mind as It is has been asleep for a time. It is now updated with a poem for its rebirth.
Pinoy Teachers Network will be celebrating its first year anniversary on July 12. I dedicated an article leaving a question for the Filipino teachers of the group - Did we dream too fast?
Now that I take joy in my daughter's growing interest about her school, I am quite alarmed about this news, which Kay had told me a few days ago. Not until after I read the whole account have I felt the gravity of the incident.
Time is selfish. Nowadays, my blogging time is becoming lean. Without a help in the house, the chores are eating my time. To blog or not to blog, that is the question.
are u a teacher?
ReplyDeleteno, i am not, monmon.
ReplyDeleteYour son wrote a very nice poem.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree about Time. I have slowed down visiting blogs and thinking of cutting back my blogging time. I sometimes wonder how other bloggers find the time to update their blogs and bloghop frequently. I've forgotten that you guys have househelp. I've never had help for a long time. I have gotten used to it.
Maybe it's time for you to take a little breather, bing. Or you could limit yourself to two posts a week, at least until you find a househelp.
ReplyDeletewe did not have a help ever since, niceheart. i forgot to say that "i wish i have a help". with nanay sick, and cant be able to move around the same as before, am stuck with the laundry. good thing, me taga-plantsa kami. i dont buy the idea naman of letting each of my kids wash their clothes, kasi mas lalong magastos yun.
ReplyDeletei am not a frequent blogger. i dont post everyday, single. but bloghopping time will not be as frequent and as lengthy as before. :-)
irene, i almost forgot, thanks for appreciating his poem, and leaving a message. he appreciates it very much. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Bing. That news about U.P. students being abducted is indeed alarming. Brings me right back to the days of the unlamented Marcos regime. We must all be vigilant, but also careful.
ReplyDeletevery alarming indeed, bugsy. i was horrified to learn that the other girl was asked to take off her shirt para gawing blindfold sa kanya tsk tsk kakatakot..
ReplyDeleteyour son is very talented Ate Bing :) ako din walang househelp but since it's only D and me in the house, madali lang maglinis. i do it every other day after work. the rest of the work, kung meron man, he helps me out. no cooking for us, we always eat out kaya no washing dishes din. someone picks up and then delivers the laundry, pressed and clean na. our cars are washed by the maintenance peeps of the condo kaya talagang madami kaming free time. we are enjoying it now pero eventually when a "little angel" comes, i'll probably stop blogging. nope, i'll get another blog for our baby, at update ko lang pag may developments and pictures.
ReplyDeleteregards Ate Bing, i'll be monitoring your blog, kahit madalang ka pa mag update :)
thank you, jane! he loves to express his ideas talaga..
ReplyDeletewow, grabe, ang taray naman ng lifestyle mo.. sa lingo nina kay - astig! ako, i find it more difficult to adjust now.. tapos, scarce pa ang water supply waaaaah! :-(
we can afford to have this lifestyle kasi kami pa lang pong dalawa ni hubby :)
ReplyDeletewater supply was one of our biggest concern when we were scouting for a place, good thing all condos have their own. maybe it's a requirement or something..
napakahirap po talaga kapag 'alang tubig, jane. good to know you had that as one main consideration sa pagpili ng matitirhan.
ReplyDeleteThat news in U.P. is really alarming and somehow worries me. Like you, I have a daughter in UP Manila.
ReplyDeleteIncidents are becoming regular nowadays. I was just wondering, are we again going to or already in the period of "Living Dangerously" and "Sa Kuko ng Dilim". This reminds me of my colorful college years.
the first thing that come to mind was my daughter. it is a worrisome news, and lately, there was another UP student that was abducted.
ReplyDeletecolorful? parang interesting 'yan, a. sana ma-share mo sa akin thru email. :-)
"To blog or not to blog, that is the question."
ReplyDeleteWell, of course, there are more pressing matters in real life. Blogging takes a backseat once our plate is full. Of course, it's a different case when one is a pro-blogger (someone who earns money from blogging).
are you in pro-blogging na, jayred?
